Singapore
Lim Kuan Meng (Managing Partner)
Kuan Meng is a Chartered Accountant of Singapore and a Public Accountant registered with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority of Singapore. As Managing Partner of the firm, Kuan Meng is responsible for the firm's operations, expansion and portfolio planning. He has been working in the public accounting practice since 1995.
Prior to setting up Pinnacle in late 2013, Kuan Meng was with Deloitte & Touche LLP, Singapore, where he became a partner in 2007. He has extensive experience in the audit of multinational and local companies. His experiences include the restructuring and listing of various companies on the Singapore Exchange, financial due diligence for acquisitions, investigation audits and operational and controls reviews. While at Deloitte, he led the audit of large organisations and successfully developed and cultivated high-level client relationships.
Cara Lee (Assurance & Advisory Partner)
Cara joined J B Chua & Co in 1989 and was admitted as a partner in 2005. She is a Chartered Accountant of Singapore and a Public Accountant registered with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority of Singapore. She has more than 20 years' experience in accountancy, taxation and auditing services of various industries including trading, retail, manufacturing, construction, services and investment holding companies. She is also an Accredited Tax Practitioner for Income Tax with the Singapore Institute of Accredited Tax Professionals.
As a Partner of Pinnacle, Cara continues to service clients in areas of auditing, compilation and taxation. She also scrutinizes the recruitment processes to select the right candidate with the right attitude and provides training to develop the competence and capabilities necessary to perform the work competently.
David Lim (Assurance & Advisory Partner)
David has more than 15 years of extensive experience in professional and public accounting services in varied industries serving local, multinational and listed companies. He began his professional career in a local practice before moving to reputable mid-tier firms and Big Four accounting firms Deloitte & Touche and Ernst & Young where he was senior manager. He has also served as chief financial officer and independent director of listed companies.
Besides advising companies on their IPOs mainly on the Singapore Exchange, he has also assisted companies on various corporate actions such as mergers & acquisitions, due diligence reviews, issuance and listing of debt and equity securities and fund-raising activities from private equities, venture capital and mezzanine funds for privately-held entities. He is also regularly involved in providing training for staff members and seminars for clients.
He graduated from the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia, is a Chartered Accountant of Singapore and a member of CPA Australia.
Lau Kah Eng (Assurance & Advisory Partner)
Kah Eng is a Public Accountant and Chartered Accountant of Singapore and is a member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants, Singapore Chartered Tax Professionals Limited. He is also an ASEAN Chartered Professional Accountant.
Kah Eng is a graduate of the University of Sydney and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. He also holds a Masters of International Taxation from the University of Sydney.
Kah Eng has been an accountant since 2010 and had previously worked in some of the Big 4 international accounting firms and his family owned accounting firm. During his time in these firms, he handled a portfolio of clients ranging from the multinational corporations to the small-medium enterprises assisting them on compliance and advisory matters.
He also has experience advising international clients on issues in the areas of corporate restructuring, setting up business and investment in Singapore and divestment in the region.
Kah Eng has experience in a wide spectrum of practice areas including audit, corporate secretarial and taxation.
Teo Siok Fieng (Assurance & Advisory Partner)
Siok Fieng is a Chartered Accountant of Singapore and a Public Accountant registered with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority of Singapore. Prior to joining Pinnacle, she was with Deloitte & Touche LLP, Singapore, where she was a senior manager in Assurance & Advisory Division.
During her stay with Deloitte, she has extensive audit experience where she was responsible for a portfolio of audit clients ranging from public listed companies to multinational companies and privately-held companies in diverse industry such as shipping, construction, trading and distribution, online game service provider, food & beverages and statutory board. She was also involved in special assignments such as reviews on mergers and acquisitions, agreed upon procedure audits, certification audits and system audits in identifications area for improvements in accounting and reporting systems.
Other than servicing the client in areas of audit, she is also involved in the planning and design of the quality controls of the firm to ensure that the staffs understand the overall objectives of the firm and carry out the engagements with due care.
Kee Poh Ling (Director of Accounting and Corporate Secretarial Services)
Poh Ling is a Chartered Accountant of Singapore and member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants ("ACCA"). She is also a BizFinx trainer for Singapore Association of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators ("SAICSA"), speaker for BizFinx Training organised by ACRA and speaker for SBF-ACRA Training Seminar on Revised XBRL Filing Requirements and New BizFinx Filing System (2nd run).
Prior to joining CAL Business Consultants Pte Ltd, Poh Ling was with Deloitte & Touche LLP, Singapore, where she was a senior manager in Assurance & Advisory Division. During her employment with Deloitte & Touche LLP, she was responsible for the audits of private, multinational and public listed companies in diverse industries such as retail, manufacturing, service, trading, construction, trust, shipping, hotel, investment holding company and non-profit organisation. She was also involved agreed upon procedure audits, certification audits and fraud investigation audits. She has knowledge and exposure in audits of Indonesia and Malaysian entities.
During her short stint in Geo Energy Resources Limited after departing from Deloitte, she led the accounting division in the preparation of the group consolidation accounts and the prospectus for Geo Energy Resources Limited listing on the Stock Exchange of Singapore.
Malaysia
Alwin Choy (Assurance & Advisory Partner)
Alwin Choy, the partner, has more than 10 years of professional expertise in the audit and assurance fields. He is the members of both the ACCA and the Malaysia Institute of Accountants.
He obtained invaluable experience in auditing and corporate advisory engagements while working for Certified Public Accountant firms in Malaysia and Singapore.
